Mr. Jean-Jacques Van Vlasselaer
at 7:00 p.m. in the Salon of the NAC
Free admission, reserved seats for Canadian Friends of the Hermitage
Mr. Van Vlasselaer will speak on "The Composer and His Space for Freedom" using as examples the three Russian composers whose works are on the programme:

The Ottawa Youth Orchestra and the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir join the Orchestra for the Colas Breugnon Ouverture and the Suite from Spartacus. The programme also includes a choral excerpt from Srul Irving Glick's The Hour Has Come.
Mr. Van Vlasselaer's talk is co-sponsored by the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra and the Embassy of the Russian Federation.
